The Directors
Anthony Joseph Summers ATT
Anthony was trained in London and has 19 years experience in the profession. Anthony has an analytical approach and works closely with many clients in the development of their businesses, on planning issues and providing advice on taxation.
Anthony leads a team who not only provide accountancy services but also company secretarial work and guidance on a wide range of corporate and director’s taxation issues.
Anthony is passionate about client service and likes to build strong relationships with clients, getting to know the bigger picture and what their goals are. This enables Anthony to provide appropriate and comprehensive tax planning solutions that meet clients' immediate and future circumstances.
Part of his work is also to provide advice regarding the development of the business, whether this is for a business start-up, a growing firm or for the business owner who is looking at succession issues.
Anthony is married with a daughter and enjoys golf, sailing and wind surfing.
Peter Lawrence Summers ATT (Fellow)
Peter has been working in accountancy since 1985, he specialises in identifying tax efficient solutions to the challenges faced by business owners and private individuals.
Peter is acutely aware that the issues facing his clients, of all sizes and at varying stages of growth, are not confined to taxation and that his recommendations must complement business strategies and owners’ personal ambitions, as well as responding to tax issues.
All business clients are concerned about their tax burden and with his team, Peter offers guidance to business owners and directors across all relevant taxes. This not only involves guiding clients through the complexities of compliance but also looking at some of the more interesting aspects of corporate tax, for example, in relation to business transactions, the structuring of a business and incorporation.
Peter therefore provides vital planning support and helps clients to minimise the tax burden for their business.
Peter has a wealth of experience in the area of business transactions, particularly regarding companies but also assists clients with the personal taxes that affect business owners, for example, regarding succession planning, IHT and capital gains tax planning.
Peter is married and has a daughter, Peter enjoys walking and sailing and power boat sports and travelling when business commitments allow.
Both Anthony and Peter have strong connections with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
